SLOW LIVING IS BACK!

It has been a roller coaster of emotions in the past few months: leaving China for real after 17 years, changing country/continent, seeing family members I had not seen in 4 years, and starting (almost) from scratch again with Slow Living.
So many things to let go of and rebuild differently!
Ungrounding. Humbling.
Rudyard Kipling's words in his poem “If” never felt so true:
If you can watch the things you gave your life to, broken, and stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools,
If you can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, and lose, and start again at your beginnings and never breathe a word about your loss; (…)
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And, which is more, you'll be a man, my son!
But now I’m back. Slow Living is back, and I’ve got exciting offers for you.
The first thing I felt urged to create after landing in this beautiful part of France, Orne & Ecouves Forest, believe it or not, is a candle. I wanted to re-create this magical scent: the woods, the forest, the winter coming, the smell of "when we wake up on 25th December to unwrap colorful gift boxes under the lit Christmas tree, still wearing pajamas". This is how “Olfactory Enchantment No.10 - Foret d’Ecouves” candle is born. White fir, black spruce, Siberian fir, Norman tree…and a sidekick of eucalyptus.
Of course, for those of you who love spices, I have also made a variation of my “gingerbread” candle, with a little French twist: “Olfactory Enchantment No. 11 - Macarons au gingembre". It's all about sitting down in a chic Parisian coffee to indulge in people-watching and colorful little macarons that look like jewelry.
On the skincare front, my motto is “Simplify!”: keep my product list short and concise, but highly performant, with revolutionary botanical ingredients and formulations I constantly strive to improve.
One of my first observations here in Europe is that most natural cosmetic brands available on the market offer very simple, entry-level formulations, with thick textures, boring scents, and no real high-performance action. To me, “natural” shouldn’t be the only selling point. I want natural AND performant. I want real age-defy ingredients. I want antioxidants. I want dark spot fading, deep moisture (or oil balance), skin barrier repair, and collagen production. I want it all.
So I’m going to maintain my positioning as a small, luxury, natural & organic skincare brand. It's vain for me to try to compete with industrialized, high-profit margin, low price point natural cosmetics anyways.
Last but not least, a word about logistics. As heartbreaking as it sounds, my candles and skincare products cannot be sent to China yet. Why? CCC. China Customs Cerberus. A country where even your family can't send you books & chocolate for your birthday. But the good news is: you can still conveniently order in China through WeChat pay / Alipay and get my products sent to your loved ones abroad!
